After Jamie Hoskins falsely accuses two classmates of rape after a consensual act then hits nine pedestrians during an attempted suicide, medical tests reveal she has been taking medication for bipolar disorder and stopped her pills a week earlier. Jamie is charged with murder and released on her own recognizance after she agrees to take her medication, but after rock star Derek Lord, who is well known for his negative views on psychiatry, gets involved and begins spearheading her defense, Jamie again stops taking her medication. Novak is sympathetic to Jamie, but Jamie's insistence on following Derek Lord's advice leaves Novak with no choice but to take the case to trial.

Although House fears his friend is being scammed, he takes the case. As he works his way through the girl's lies so he can diagnose and treat her, he's forced to tell a few lies of his own.

The NCIS team must work on an assignment against a terrorist group without Gibbs, who is still recovering from the explosion. Gibbs has to fight with memory loss, while he's visited by his mentor and his former boss. Gibbs' help is needed, especially when the team discover that he is the only person who has information about the terrorists' plans.

Fearing that Ritchie is too young to be exposed to sex, drugs and rock and roll vices on display at a Rolling Stones concert, Christine initially forbids it. Eventually, she relents but immediately regrets her decision and, in a panic, goes to the venue with Matthew to see if she can sneak into the concert in order to keep tabs on Ritchie.

They're dropping Arthur off for Buster's sleepover and D.W. at Grandma Thora's. But car troubles leave everyone stranded. Things seemingly go from bad to worse when Arthur and D.W. get locked in a storage room in an old diner. They're disappointed, and a bit scared, but find inspiration in an old radio drama called "Kid Carter and his Sidekick Mistral.
