Supertato, Carrot and Broccoli win tickets for a luxurious trolley cruise - despite not even entering a competition. It turns out to be a trick by Evil Pea, who has disguised herself as the captain and rigged the trolley to go full speed out of the exit! She breaks the handle off the fan and evacuates the trolley. When it looks like the Tato Team are doomed, Carrot comes up with a plan. They hook exercise bands on the end of the aisles, and Supertato uses all his strength to bring the trolley to a stop just before they reach the exit doors!
Supertato and his running rival, Runner Bean, are about to compete in the yearly supermarket race. But this year, Evil Pea plans to cheat her way to victory - she wants to see Supertato's face when she finally beats him. The race begins, and Evil Pea unleashes several traps with the help of the Cobs. Supertato and Runner Bean are trapped upside down. Evil Pea almost wins but realises Supertato won’t see her beat him. She releases them and races towards the finish, but Supertato launches Runner Bean like a javelin and sprints to the finish line so that they can win together!
The Tato Team are having a day off, so Carrot upgrades the Tatoscope to alert Supertato to any of Evil Pea’s plans - and it works straight away! Pea pretends she's hurt her foot so Supertato will invite her into Tato Tower to recover. However, Supertato is so attentive that he doesn't leave her alone. Eventually, Pea shakes him off long enough to try and break the Tatoscope. But it goes into defence mode, and she ends up clinging off it like a bucking bronco. It’s Supertato to the rescue, but he realises she’s been faking it this whole time.
Carrot, Broccoli and Chilli’s team have just won the Supermarket Cup. Supertato is about to give them the Golden Ball trophy when Evil Pea challenges them to a winner-takes-all game - she plans to wear her 'cheaty boots' that make her unstoppable at football. But she turns the boots up to the highest setting, which sends them haywire and cause her to score own goals - and even kick the giant golden ball off the trophy. Luckily, Supertato and the Tato Team are there to save the day, and they still win the match!
Evil Pea befriends the playful but destructive Baby Watermelon to try and destroy Tato Tower. Her plan backfires when Baby Watermelon only wants to play with Evil Pea, and things get worse when she gets cranky because she's tired. The Veggies get Baby Watermelon into her crate for a nap by making Evil Pea sing her a lullaby. Evil Pea takes this opportunity to eject Supertato from the Tatocar and into the watermelon's crate! Fortunately, Supertato befriends Baby Watermelon's daddy, who scares Evil Pea back to the freezer.
Evil Pea adds a voice control feature to her Evil Peamobile - she wants to command it to freeze all the fruit and veggies in the supermarket. But the vehicle turns on her when she shouts at it for not obeying her commands quick enough. Suddenly, Evil Pea is being chased by her own car and needs the help of Supertato and Tomato, who teach her that a little 'please' and 'thank you' can go a long way - even with an Evil Peamobile.
The Veggies are in the middle of working out when Evil Pea interrupts to tell them about her plan to freeze the entire supermarket. She has placed freezy sprinklers all around the aisles! They split up to deactivate the sprinklers before it's too late. But when the Veggies reach them, they realise the sprinklers are fake. Evil Pea is actually getting on with her real, even bigger plan - setting up a giant freezy hose to freeze Tato Tower! The Veggies must now get to Tato Tower in time for Supertato to save the day.
Evil Pea launches Supertato down the back of a sofa, but her plan goes wrong when she falls in too. Stuck inside with no obvious way out, they meet kooky Raisin, who lives down there with her collection of buttons. Raisin shows them the only way out of the sofa – a thread hanging from above. But Evil Pea climbs up first and undoes the thread, leaving Supertato trapped. Inspired by Raisin and her buttons, Supertato uses them, along with the thread, to create a pulley system to get out.
Supertato and Carrot are following a treasure map to Shiny Things Island - even though the map was suspiciously left outside Tato Tower for Supertato to find. It’s one of Evil Pea’s tricks! But Captain Pak Choi is also on the island and takes the map to find the treasure first. Along the way, they spring a variety of Evil Pea’s traps. When Evil Pea manages to catch Supertato and Carrot, Captain Pak Choi frees them and sends Evil Pea flying for deceiving her with fake treasure!
In Part 2, Supertato tells his side of the story. Yes, he did freeze everyone - but with Carrot's help, he realises that Evil Pea had tricked him, and he vows to make it right. Carrot helps Supertato master his powers - except his speed, which he still can’t control - and in his superhero costume, he’s ready to face Evil Pea. But she freezes him into a block of ice! He can’t break free until Carrot encourages him to use his potato speed. Soon, he bursts out of the ice block and speeds around melting the rest of the ice! It’s the first time Supertato saves the supermarket.
