On September 14, 1998, a Hollywood Squares revival debuted with Tom Bergeron as its host. In addition to her production duties, Whoopi Goldberg served as the permanent center square, with series head writer Bruce Vilanch, Gilbert Gottfried, Martin Mull, and Caroline Rhea as regular panelists and Brad Garrett, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jeffrey Tambor, George Wallace, Kathy Griffin and various others as semi-regular panelists. Shadoe Stevens returned to announce, although he was not given a square on the panel as he had been when John Davidson was host.

Liam avoids answering questions about anything Rob is waiting for the council to approve a fete and Geoff passes on the good news that it has been granted. Cher has finished some of the samples for Jake to sell and now have to decide on a logo and brand name.

Only when Edward takes Greg to a high-power suits party while Kitty takes her to the opera to see ""Faust"" does Dharma come to her senses and rush back just in time to prevent Greg from accepting a corporate job.

Instantly, a rash of earthquakes and other natural disasters are sparked by the emerald's energy. Knuckles and the Hedgehogs turn to a relative of Knuckles for answers of how to stop Mobius from being slowly devoured by the emerald's force.

Claudia breaks up with Cody after she catches him cheating on her. Sarah confronts Bailey about his anger towards her. After an editor offers Julia a book deal, she quits college and moves home.

One of the more hard to believe stories, this episode focuses on Perry and his life. His mother was sent to prison for murdering her husband ten years previous with an axe. Perry lived through the torments at school but he had long since forgotten about his mother. But Aunt Thom plans to break his mother out of jail and he has to help.
